Come one, come all! Join Christine Sparks and Olivia Houde on for a FREE, fun, and family-friendly guided hike series where participants observe and discuss the native plants along the trail. Hike dates are "drizzle or shine" -- cancelled for a downpour, but on if there is only light rain.

OCT 28, 10:00AM - 11:30AM | Asnebumskit Hill | RSVP Online
We will venture to “Thoreau’s Seat”, where Henry David Thoreau hiked one Sunday morning in 1852, remarking it in a letter as “one of the true temples of the earth”.
Parking: End of Nipmuck Rd, Paxton, MA 01612
Route: We enter the property by taking a path that will lead us to the red rectangle trail. From there, we will make our way to Thoreau’s Seat and take some time to enjoy the view (and take a group photo). We will return by completing the loop via the blue rectangle, then the yellow rectangle trail.
We suggest wearing sturdy footwear, dressing comfortably, and bringing a walking stick, if you’d like!
NOV 1, 10:00AM - 11:30AM | Tetasset Ridge to God's Acre | RSVP Online
Parking: End of Esper Ave
Route: We will enter on the East-West trail and hike it until we reach the merging of the Tetasset Ridge trail, which we will take until we reach Deed Rock. We will use Deed Rock as the turn-around point to make our way back towards our cars.
